Update on Pool Opening from NV Pools (Pool Operators):

I would like to provide you with an update of our current thinking for the 2020 swim season as it relates to the COVID-19 situation.  NVPools will proceed with the draining and cleaning of swimming pools, permitting, insurance needs, service related work and preparing pools for seasonal operation.  Leaving pools in a winterized state is not an option as warmer weather will start to cause other health related issues and create additional service needs.  The swimming pools need to be filtering, chemically treated, maintained and circulating as we enter Spring.  While pools may ultimately be delayed in opening, we will have them ready.  Swimming pools are a very important part of our local community and will be part of the healing process for that community.

Our personnel department will continue hiring staff via virtual interviews and processing applications.  We have had to postpone the testing segment of our training that was in process but hope to resume as time allows.

Like many of you, we are following current events and press releases and will make an effort to stay in touch with you as things change.  For now, we anticipate pools opening on time and will do everything in our power to ensure that if allowed, they do.  We will be following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and the Local and State Health Departments and will provide you with new information as it becomes available.  We will contact you again the week of April 6th with an update.

This is uncharted territory for all of us.  Please remain calm and follow recommended best practices to remain safe.
