Traffic Calming Measures for Hiddenbrook Drive

Did Not Gain Sufficient Support

The Hiddenbrook Drive Traffic Calming Task Force met on April 12, 2016, after taking a break for the winter. After discussing the community feedback received to-date, the team determined that there is not enough support at this time to move forward with the proposed traffic calming measures. Thank you to those who expressed support and put in time to collect and assess community feedback! The Task Force appreciates your time and effort.

Permit Court Cemetery Restoration

Kingston Chase resident and Eagle Scout candidate, along with Roger Claff, researched and wrote a paper on the Orrison Family Cemetery located on Permit Court. This was in addition to coordinating a restoration project of the cemetery. Residents are encouraged to take the time to read the paper and at some point stop by and visit the cemetery.

Cub Scout Pack 1570 Wins in Civic Group Category

at Herndon Homecoming Parade

Congratulations to Cub Scout Pack 1570 for its second place win in the Civic Group category at the Herndon Homecoming Parade on October 24. The Pack decorated a truck with banners, including a trailer nicely set to a campfire scene, and marched proudly and cheered loudly as they made their way on Elden Street. The Cub Scouts received a nice trophy and all the boys and leaders had a blast.
