Kingston Chase
Board of Directors Are Currently Soliciting New Members
Kingston
Chase will hold its annual election for the Board of Directors on
Monday, December 8. To prepare for the elections, the Board asks
homeowners who are interested in serving on the Board to submit a brief
biography introducing themselves to the neighborhood. These bios
must be submitted before November 18 so that may be included on
the ballot that will be published in the December Crier. The term
is 3 years beginning January 1, 2009, and continuing through December
31, 2011. There are 3 vacancies to be filled. With the many assets and
activities that Kingston Chase enjoys -- a swimming pool, tennis court,
clubhouse, social events, newsletter, Architectural Review Committee,
clubs and common grounds -- the Board is vital as they work together to
make decisions that benefit the neighborhood, its properties, and its
activities.
The Board of Directors meets on the
second Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the clubhouse. Meeting
agenda items include club and committee reports, old and new business,
ARC matters, finances, and other issues related to the HOA. Submit bios or
nominations to Steve Kight at
skight@cox.net or Ruthie Rosati
at
crier@kchoa.org. Thank you!

Conservation
Corps Presents "Adopt-A-Storm-Drain"
The Conservation Corps presents Adopt-A-Storm-Drain,
a program where homeowners
oversee the storm drain(s) on their street to ensure
the drains remain free of trash and debris. Most of the
trash removed from the Folly Lick stream is trash that washed down our storm drains.
This program will help prevent trash from collecting
in (and polluting) the waterways that eventually lead into the
Potomac and Occoquan rivers and Chesapeake Bay. Please
contact the Conservation Corps at
conservation@kchoa.org
for more information and to sign up to monitor
a drain near you.
