Neighborhood Watch

 

Neighborhood Watch is a group of concerned residents who undertake special effort to be the "eyes and ears" in the neighborhood, looking for unusual events or vandalism. Reports for Neighborhood Watch and information about Neighborhood Watch incidents should be sent to Tina Sullivan at 703-478-6631 or via e-mail at kchoanw@verizon.net. Please also call the Fairfax County Police non-emergency number at 703-691-2131 to file a report. Dial 911 for calls of an urgent nature. Anyone interested in joining Neighborhood Watch or being added to an e-mail distribution list should also contact Tina.

Fairfax County Police Alerts
 
The Fairfax County Police Reston District Station continues to report a rash of cars having been broken into with GPS, IPods,
and cash stolen. The attached fliers include information regarding:  Recent Thefts and the "Lock It" Campaign to reduce theft.
 
Reston Police Station Open House
On Saturday, September 13, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., the Fairfax County Police Reston Station
located at 12000 Bowman Towne Drive (across from the Reston Public Library) will hold their annual Open House.
Bring the family out to see the police helicopter, antique cars, specialty units like the dive team, police motorcycles, and
the bomb squad. There will be snow-cones, popcorn, McGruff the Crime Dog, and fun for all ages. Scouts may fulfill, 
requirements for a badge/pin/belt loop, etc. Please check with your child's den/troop leader for more information. 
Also, please bring canned goods to help fill a police car with food for the Reston Interfaith food bank.
